Puppy Love at Finishing Touches, Beaufort
December 18, 2009
This puppy is a new resident at Finishing Touches in downtown Beaufort.
We were shopping for some last minute gifts and Finishing Touches is a great place to find those.
As soon as we stepped in the door, we noticed this excited and energetic bundle of energy.
It turns out that our friend is rather camera shy! As soon as the shutter clicked, it took off and decided to hide in it’s doggy bed.
That is where this picture was taken.
Photography at 30,000 Feet
December 16, 2009
This photograph was taken somewhere over the mid-west while we were flying from Milwaukee to Cincinnati.
I really don’t mind flying. You never know who you will meet on a plane.
This young fellow traveler was flying for the first time with his mom & dad.
As we were taking off, he covered his ears, worried that the engines would be too loud.
As we reached cruising altitude, he decided there was nothing to flying after all.
Dogs to Cat: This is our Turf! – Downtown Beaufort Photography
December 5, 2009

As we were walking by the Lollipop Shop in downtown Beaufort, we noticed these three cute canines. They were milling around their owner on the porch. The local tomcat, a fixture in this corner of Beaufort came by to make it clear that this was his territory. There wasn’t any big commotion, just some hissing and growling. The usual posturing you sometimes see between animals (and teenagers).
This photograph was taken after the showdown. As the three dogs were staring at the departing feline.
Yankee Fan in Savannah
November 23, 2009

Meandering along River Street is a good way to find interesting people.
On a warm sunny day, this gentleman was taking in the view of the Savannah River.
I noticed him sitting on a bench with the Colt. When asked if I could take his photograph, he was gracious enough to oblige.
As we chit chatted, he mentioned being bound for New York City. Based on his jacket, I feel confident saying that he his a Yankee Fan.
A Boy and his Dog
November 15, 2009
This image was taken during the halloween celebration in downtown Beaufort. A family was walking by when a strange man with a camera asked if he could take their photograph. Lucky for me, I wasn’t the only strange person around with all the costumed halloween revelers.
My favorite image from that series.

Savannah Firemen
November 3, 2009
This photographs was captured during a walk around Savannah. As we were walking by a station house, two firemen were sitting down, taking a break.
As he was discussing life as a fireman, the passion and excitement Kenneth has for his job shines through.

Teenage Sunset in Waterfront Park
October 29, 2009
I was taking in the sunset, they were walking along the sea wall. Strangers crossing paths.
This stranger just happened to have a camera. A few seconds later, we had this photograph of teenage lovebirds.
I’m just a softy when it comes to happy couples.

Luke & Stacy | Savannah, GA
October 28, 2009
They were walking down the street, hand in hand, laughing. They exuded radiant youthful love.
I simply had to stop them and ask if I could take their photograph. They graciously accepted.
It’s an age old love story: They are both from away. They met and fell in love, but she had to move away to college. Luke couldn’t be without Stacy. He followed her to Savannah.
Luke & Stacy: may the road ahead hold joy and happiness.
